Welcome to Sandfield Place - A leading edge innovative Retirment And Long Term Care Home that is designed for the savvy senior who wants to remain independent in a gracious, spacious, one level surrounding. Sandfield Place is family owned and operated by David and Stephanie Kinnear, and previously owned by Bill & Joyce Kinnear. In its present location since 1991, our 34 bed Retirement Home forms part of a joint facility that also contains a separate 53 bed Long Term Care component licenced under the Ontario Nursing Homes Act.
As a single level residence, Sandfield Place is renowned for its unique atmosphere of intimacy and charm, enhanced by means of a relaxing, tasteful décor and numerous special architectural features all of which are ideally suited to the needs of our elderly occupants. High ceilings and spacious common areas create a feeling of openness; wide hallways allow for a comfortable traffic pattern as well as opportunities for spontaneous social interaction; large, low windows throughout the building bring in a lot of light while allowing a pleasant exterior view from all areas, to the Home’s manicured landscape and surrounding modern homes.
Within this inviting environment, the Home has always maintained a culture of caring and friendliness. Courteous, well-trained, dedicated staff at all levels are committed to the well-being of our residents and readily respond to your individual needs. Residents are very supportive towards one another within an atmosphere of positive social contact where enduring relationships develop and thrive effortlessly. We also have about 150 volunteers from the community who regularly participate in the Home’s social and entertainment programming.
At this time, all information and pictures contained in this website, with the exception of the material provided under ‘Long Term Care’ immediately below, pertain to the Retirement Home only. Additional material related to the Long Term Care Home will be added at a later date.
Sandfield Place is a joint Retirement and Long Term Care operation. These separate components are joined at a central Kitchen that services both sides by means of a common menu.
